If you have been experiencing moderate to severe symptoms for > 12 months,
You may need to be on the medication for 18-24 months to experience remission of symptoms. Once you start responding to the medication(s), then it is possible to slowly taper the medications to a lower dose and then discontinue.
If you have been experiencing mild to moderate symptoms for < 12 months,
You may need to be on the medication for 12 months to prevent any recurrence of symptoms.
However, every individual is different and it depends on the severity of your symptoms and how you respond on the medication. We have to consider any underlying medical issues, other medications you are currently taking (even herbs) etc.

The provider is dual board-certified and trained to also conduct brief psychotherapy sessions (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Activation Therapy and Solution Focused-Therapy) during your follow-up visits.
1. Please provide your local pharmacy information (address and telephone number).
2. The provider will order the prescription medication on the same day.
3. Before picking up your medication, please call the pharmacy 2 hours after your session, to ensure your local pharmacy processed the provider's order.
4. In order NOT to pay out of pocket for the prescription medication(s), please bring your insurance card to make sure your medications are covered.
